These activities are open only to SAGE 2YC Cohort 3 Change Agents participating in the project extension.

The Spring 2021 workshop includes 8 activities from January to April that consist of web-based synchronous meetings with some asynchronous work before and/or after the meetings; two meetings of each team with the project leaders; and one or more consultations with a pair of peer leaders and another Change Agent team. A meeting with the project leaders will launch this workshop, providing an overview of the project and a discussion of the team's plans for the project activity or event that they will lead on campus. Workshop activities will address aspects of leadership development, explore research-based strategies for supporting the academic success of all students, broadening participation, and facilitating students' professional pathways in STEM, and consider what we might do in these areas. Participants will analyze course-level outcomes data, consider the implications for continuing to strengthen their program(s) and/or department(s), and plan the activity/event they will lead on campus that will address one or more of the three project strands: supporting the academic success of all students, broadening participation, and facilitating students' professional pathways in STEM. The workshop will provide opportunities to share ideas and strategies with others in the project and to give and receive feedback about their program/department plans. The asynchronous work will include contributing to online discussions, working as a team, and working with colleagues. Participants will also reflect on their work throughout the workshop and will share reflections, ideas, and questions in a shared online space.

  • Session 6 – April 1 OR April 2
  • Session 7 – April 15 OR April 16
  • Session 8 – April 29 OR April 30
  • Consultations with Peer Leaders (TBD)

Synchronous Meeting times:

  • Thursdays at 11-12 Hawaii/1-2 Pacific/2-3 Mountain/3-4 Central/4-5 Eastern
  • Fridays at 8-9 AM Hawaii/10-11 Pacific/11-12 Mountain/12-1 Central/1-2 Eastern
