Workshop Details
The program will begin on Tuesday, May 23 at 5:00 p.m and conclude on Thursday, May 25 at 2:00 p.m.
Travel
Participants are responsible for coordinating their travel to and from the workshop. Maps and directions to Morehouse College are available on the Morehouse College website. The opening session of the workshop is at the Morehouse College African American Hall of Fame (2nd Floor of King Chapel).
Travel by Air
Atlanta International Airport is the main airport in Atlanta. We recommend arriving no later than 4:00 p.m. on May 23 and departing after 4:00 p.m. on May 25 because travel to and from the airport takes 20 minutes.
Ground Transportation
The Fairfield Inn & Suites Atlanta Downtown does not provide shuttle service. For transportation to and from the airport, please consult the Atlanta International Airport Ground Transportation Guide

Travel by Car
From the North/Downtown
- From I-75/85 South to I-20 West. Take Exit 55B, which is Lee Street/Ft. McPherson/Atlanta University Center. Turn right at the traffic light onto Westview Drive and proceed two blocks to the campus.
From the South/Hartsfield International Airport
- From I-75/85 North to I-20 West. Take Exit 55B, which is Lee Street/Ft. McPherson/Atlanta University Center. Turn right at the traffic light onto Westview Drive and proceed two blocks to the campus.
From the East
- From I-20 West. Take Exit 55B, which is Lee Street/Ft. McPherson/Atlanta University Center. Turn right at the traffic light onto Westview Drive and proceed two blocks to the campus.
From the West
- From I-20 East. Take Exit 55A, which is Joseph Lowery Blvd./West End. Turn left onto Joseph Lowery Blvd. and proceed through four traffic lights. At the fourth traffic light, turn right onto West End Avenue. Turn left at next light, which is Westview Drive, and proceed to campus.
Accommodations
A hotel block has been reserved at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Atlanta Downtown. We will be making the hotel reservations for accepted participants following the close of the application period.
Rooms will be double occupancy. The deadline to pay for a single room upgrade was April 21st.
Communications
There is Internet access at hotel and workshop building.
Meals
Complimentary breakfast is offered at the hotel.
For lunches and dinners, we will have a combination of dining hall and catered meals with time for excursions to local restaurants. All meals will include vegetarian offerings. Please provide information on the registration form if you require special meals. The price of all meals during the workshop is covered.
