FAMU StateWide Small Farm Program uses a participatory approach to provide relevant education, hands-on training, and technical assistance to underserved farming populations, farmworkers, and their communities.

Capacity building strategies work to engage participants with relevant information and training on sustainable living, regenerative organic farming and food systems, contamination and security, etc. to enable wellbeing and a thriving sustainable development. Capacity building efforts link faculty and students from classroom to on-farm. Global capacity building efforts enable organic farming systems and participatory sustainable development.
