Accommodations
Workshop participants will stay in the Baker Village area of Luther's campus. This area is composed of 4 Nordic-style townhouses that offer comfortable, single-room accommodations. Complimentary coffee and coffee mugs are available in the kitchen of each townhouse. Each kitchen includes a stove, refrigerator, and microwave oven. (See pictures of the rooms.)
Conference activities will be held in the Shirley Baker Commons located next to the townhouses. Most meals will be catered in the Commons as well, with a few held in the Dahl Centennial Union cafeteria (~0.5 mile walk).
What to Bring
Each air-conditioned bedroom is equipped with a complete set of linens, towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, five wooden hangers, and a clock radio. Not that the bathrooms are shared, so bring a robe or other means of covering up. Also, the blanket provided with the linens will be a light one - so if you like to sleep warm you may want to bring an additional one.
There will be a walk in the woods after dinner on the first evening of the workshop. Those interested in going should bring long pants and sturdy shoes or boots. There will also be an opportunity for some canoeing on the second evening. Those participating should bring shoes and clothes that can get wet. canoes, paddles, and life vests will be provided.
Please bring a laptop computer with you. If you will not be able to do so, please note this on the registration form.
