Greetings ACM Performance Educator! We are sorry it has taken us so long getting this up and running, but the vagaries of our various programs...well, I assume you know the possible excuses. The important thing is we have started.

Performance Educators' Conference 2010

In October of 2010, 22 professors from 10 ACM Colleges (and two from the ACM itself) gathered for a weekend of good food, good entertainment and lively discussion on the Coe College campus. We took part in an enlightening workshop held by Dijana Milošević and Maja Mitić of Serbia's DAH Theatre and watched a performance of one of their latest devised pieces, Crossing the Line.

The following day, Dennis Barnett (Coe), Bob Amsden (Ripon), Elizabeth Carlin-Metz (Knox), Steven Marc Weiss (Coe) and Shawn Womack (Grinnell) gave individual presentations and led discussions. A good time was had by all!

Hopefully, we can gather again in the years to come, but in lieu of that, we are hoping that each of you will see fit to keep us posted about the projects you are working on. And if you have thoughts or questions that you would like the group to consider, please post them on our discussion board.

In the first post, I have attached an account of my work at Coe during 2010-2011. You can either do the same in separate posts - or email them to me and I will post them for you. When you read someone's account, please feel free to post any questions or comments you might have in the same thread.
