Not Just Rocks! We Know Other Stuff, Too! Geosciences in the Modern World

Friday 28 October 2016
UW-Manitowoc

This workshop has already occurred.

How do we attract students to the Geosciences? How do we use our classrooms to enhance student interest in the Geosciences? How can we better shape our academic programs to help students pursue Geoscience careers?

This workshop is the first in a series that will explore these questions and more. After an introduction to the broader program goals, this initial program will focus on a few active learning methods that are easily adaptable to common classroom situations. We will also explore and review various online resources. Finally, we hope to engage you in helping determine the future of the Geosciences in Wisconsin's two-year colleges.
