Diversity is more than ethnicity

DATE November 10, 2017
LOCATION: Waubonsee Community College

Registration Deadline: November 2, 2017

As 2YC instructors, we are at the open-door to a college education, and there is a wide variety of students in our classes. Do we really "see" all the diversity? Some of these diverse students are obvious, some are implicit. During this workshop we will investigate the range of diversities, including gender, age, ethnicity, culture, and science identity. We will learn to identify them and discuss how to reach them in our classes to ensure the academic success of all of our students.
