Overview and Logistics

This workshop will focus on facilitating collaboration among Ocean Science educators from 2YCs, 4YCs and beyond. We would like everyone to leave this workshop as a member of our networking community (SoCalSeas), ready to excite students about Ocean Sciences and sustainability, and to lead Southern California's participation in the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development.

Workshop Goals

  • Showcase high-impact practices that promote student success
  • Develop a faculty toolkit of expanded field, classroom and research opportunities

  • Develop action plans for future SoCalSeas events
