Overview and Logistics
The Supporting and Advancing Geoscience Education at Two-Year Colleges (SAGE 2YC) national initiative has worked to help implement high-impact evidence-based instructional and co-curricular practices that support the academic success of all students, broaden participation, and promote students' professional pathways into geoscience. The SAGE 2YC Northern California Change Agents Teamhas worked towards those goals through regional workshops, geoscience transfer events, and building a network between 2YC geoscience faculty in the San Francisco Bay Area and with 4-year transfer institutions. One of the specific goals of the project is to bring about institutional change that helps to promote those overarching goals locally. Towards that end this workshop held at De Anza College will specifically focus on curricular, program, and cross-program initiatives within the various Earth and Space Science departments at the college going forward.Workshop Goals
