(Please Note: Your email address is what we use to track your application and participation in the workshop. Be sure to use the same email address in all forms relating to your workshop participation. This email will also be our primary means of communication with you.)

This meeting has optional pre- and post-meeting events. See the General Schedule (opens in a new window) for detailed descriptions of these events.

Workshops: All workshops are free to attend. There are additional funds available to attendees of the Strabo Micro and Imagining a Digital Future field trips.

Field trips: Most food and vehicle costs will be covered for the field trips. There may be additional costs for the North Shore of Lake Superior field trip for lodging, but these costs are yet to be determined.

Use the boxes below to sign up for optional pre- and post-meeting event(s) you plan to participate in.

Location: The Forum will be held at Carleton College, located in Northfield, MN.

Travel: Participants must cover their travel to and from the workshop. The nearest airport is Minneapolis-St. Paul (MSP). See the Forum overview for information on getting to Northfield.

Campus housing: We have low-cost housing available on campus at Lilac Hill, a series of small two-story houses that house ~25 people in each. Bedrooms are singles, doubles, and triples. Bathrooms are private, but shared within the house (not en suite). Most people will be housed in doubles. There are a limited number of singles available—depending on registration numbers, we need to charge extra for placement into singles ($30 per night to be assessed after room assignments).

For those wishing to stay in town, we reserved a block of rooms at the Fairfield Inn, a short walk to campus. Here is the link to make your own booking.

For on-campus housing, we strongly encourage you to stay for all three plenary session days (which might mean postponing your departure until August 6). Please tell us which nights you need on-campus housing by selecting your arrival and departure dates below:

In confirming my registration for this workshop, I agree that any images (still or video) made of me during the workshop may be used on the project website, in printed project publications, and in materials developed by the project. I further agree that my contributions to creative works that emerge from workshop activities (e.g., discussions on the email list, contributions to the web page, summaries of group discussion, etc.) may be used by the workshop series, PIs, and conveners for development of future workshop materials, for scholarly reports, and for promotion of the workshop series. Attribution for original contributions will be made whenever possible.
I also accept responsibility to cover any costs incurred should I withdraw from participation in the workshop after July 15. I understand that arrangements have been made on my behalf that have associated real costs (e.g. logistics, materials), and in many cases, my early confirmation has secured a place that has been denied to other interested colleagues. Exceptions will only be made in cases of extreme personal hardship.
