Webinar Description

Developing strong 3D visualization skills is essential for geoscience students, yet many struggle without targeted practice. Why not use interactive 3D models to help build this intuition?
Join us for an interactive webinar showcasing example lessons using the freely available Visible Geology web-based applications. We'll introduce a suite of new, peer-reviewed teaching activities designed for structural geology, sedimentology/stratigraphy, and field methods. These resources are available on Teach the Earth and come complete with lesson notes, model templates, student examples, and instructor keys. Come see practical approaches for using low-barrier 3D modeling applications to enhance your students' geoscientific thinking skills.

By the end of this webinar, you will:

  1. Explore the Visible Geology web-based applications
  2. Review example activities for majors-level courses including field methods, structural geology, and sedimentology/stratigraphy
  3. Learn strategies for using the Visible Geology web-based applications in your courses
