Implementation Team

The team is made up of professionals with broad expertise in helping projects be successful. Every member of the team has an advanced science degree and can substantially contribute to conversations about how program elements can arranged to best meet a project's goals. Collectively, the team boasts several decades of experience consulting with project PIs to design and implement their project activities with each staff member drawing not only on their own skills and knowledge but that of the whole team. The work of the team can be broken down into five main areas.

Websites and Online Project Support

Projects that elect to have a SERC-hosted website are assigned a team member to support their use of Serckit. Staff contribute to site architecture design, web content development, design of graphical elements, technical support for project personnel and participants, quality assurance review of web pages, web publishing, and many other technical tasks.

Workshop Planning and Support

Many projects use workshops to meet program goals such as building community, creating curated collections of teaching materials, coming to consensus on best practices, and setting agendas for future work together or community initiatives. The team has extensive experience in developing workshop programs, including the pre-workshop assignments and post-workshop follow-on activities, to meet these goals. This often includes guiding project leads in the best use of the Serckit platform functions, and providing examples from previous activities, tying our work back to our expertise with web development.

Staff can: organize and facilitate project meetings and workshops; track project progress; manage budgets for some or all of a project; provide remote and on-site workshop support in real-time; manage project communication, marketing, and outreach; provide event and project evaluation in cooperation with SERC's Evaluation Team.
