This quiz includes questions associated with two learning objectives: 1) Students will be able to classify the three major types of sedimentary rocks and give examples of each; 2) Students can explain how sedimentary rocks are formed and where they can be found.

The final question in the quiz is a synthesis activity that asks students to draw a diagram or concept map or generate an outline that summarizes the classification of sedimentary rocks.

Description and Teaching Materials

After watching the associated video, students complete the quiz to ensure that they have a working knowledge of some basic content related to sedimentary rocks.
