Sudbury_2000 PrecipWaterflow Info
1. My graph shows 1 year of precipitation and streamflow of the Sudbury River during the year 2000.
2. The factors that influence the way the Sudbury River responds to precipitation are: the freezing during New England winters, that the watershed is often covered in snow, the fall vegetation on the ground, intensity and duration of the rain fall, the air temperature, & the type of soil are but a few of the factors.
3. I think I could incorporate Excel techniques and streamflow/precipitation data into my teaching by using data collected about the Mill River running through the city of Taunton that nearly burst the dam and flooded the city.
Also there is another river running right by the school that feeds into the Taunton River that could be studied.
