1. What does your image show? Please briefly describe it.

The area of the Aral Sea has decreased over time, by approximately 3,000,000,000 sq m

2. What measurements did you get for each of the three areas highlighted in red?

1 6057187500 sq m
2 4522187500 sq m
3 3114625000 sq m

3. In what ways can you imagine incorporating ImageJ techniques and/or satellite data into your teaching?

I can see starting out with imageJ at the begining of my Physics class when we review measurements and graphing. It is fantastic to have real data and images to work with. I am always trying to make the classwork valid to my students. This is a tool that can show them why we need to have the basic skills of measurement, unit conversion, and data analysis. I am sure that I will have more ways later on.

4. What lingering questions (if any) do you have from today's workshop?
