This set of GeoContext slides provides a cultural context to the historical discovery and research of meteorites. The slides focus on the overlooked history of the Cape York Meteorite displayed in the American Museum of Natural History. The Cape York Meteorite is one of three meteorites known as the "Saviksue" taken from Greenland by American Robert E. Peary, that were valuable iron resources to the Inughuit people.   Additional context is provided detailing traumatic effects of the museum's cultural research practices in their treatment of the Inughuit.  Each slide is accompanied by notes in Powerpoint (not visible in preview) and additional information in the companion guide.
