Course Evaluation Survey

Purpose

This survey is used for end-of-semester course evaluations.

Implementation

This survey is given at the end of every semester to students in every geology, hydrology, geophysics and geography course. The survey is completed on paper.

Use of the Data

Faculty use this survey to get feedback on their course design, teaching practices, etc. The survey is also used to establish which courses are helping students reach each program learning goal.

Effectiveness

The instrument provides the data we are looking for, but having a paper survey requires the compilation of too much information. We need to move away from using a paper survey.
