Silurian Soil Pisolite


Model Description

Soil pisolite from Pipe Creek Junior Quarry, Indiana, one of the few undolomitized Silurian patch reefs in the US Midwest. The geometric shapes come from when small concentrically-laminated spherules grow to occupy all the interspherule porosity.
