Book club -- Aspects of The Great Ocean Conveyor book and related content that need further clarification

The data that originally spurred the idea in Wally Broecker for this book (and the Great Ocean Conveyor) turned out to be erroneous. I'd love to review these data and the explanation for how the data turned out to be artifacts of the way CO2 is stored in and migrates within ice. There were conflicting statements and thus confusion on my part comparing images and text captions and content. And the whole story makes it a real challenge to convey the validity of climate change data to our students...
