Teaching Urban Students
A module about Teaching Urban Students provides detailed background information about the characteristics of urban students, insights into effective teaching practices and examples of classroom approaches well suited to engage and supportall urban students.
Fall Workshop on the Affective Domain
A one day workshop will be held this fall, Changing Student Motivations and Attitudes in the Geosciences on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at Mesa Community College, Mesa, AZ. The application/registration deadline is August 19, 2009. This workshop is open to the first 30 geoscience faculty (community college and university, full and part time) who register.
New Materials for Teaching Energy and Climate
As part of the Cutting Edge workshop about teaching energy this May, several new energy-related collections have been launched. Visit the energy visualization collection, classroom and lab activities contributed by faculty, courses about energy and books for teaching about energy from the popular press.

New Pedagogic Modules
New modules on using ConcepTests, Lecture Tutorials, and Structured Academic Controversy are now available. Each module includes information about the method, how to use it in your classroom, references, and a collection of example activities.
