SERC and NAGT Resources for Transitioning to Online Teaching

Greetings Geoscience Educators,

SERC and NAGT continue to provide support for the rapid transition to online teaching. We have just added new webinars and virtual opportunities to our virtual events page for learning and sharing about teaching geoscience online. If you know of a webinar, virtual workshop, online meeting, or other virtual event that is not on the list, please submit a virtual event to share with your peers.

Don't miss the (Suddenly) Teaching Geoscience Online webinar on Wednesday, April 1 at 1pm PT | 2 pm MT | 3 pm CT | 4 pm ET. This webinar provides a rapid introduction to the elements of successful online geoscience teaching from a panel of seasoned online instructors, and is part of the NAGT Webinar Series.

We also invite you to join the new Teaching Geoscience Online community where geoscience educators can share information specifically about the transition to online teaching, whether it's activities and materials you've found useful in teaching online geoscience courses, or to ask for help around specific needs.

We are continually expanding our collection of resources and will send updates to keep you in the know. The challenges are changing every day; let's continue to support each other as we navigate this situation together.

SERC and NAGT
