Rubrobacter xylanophilus ( This site may be offline. ) :This web site features the microbe Rubrobacter xylanophilus. This organism was found to be extremely gamma-radiation resistant. This organism was also found to be slightly thermophilic. The DNA of other species of Rubrobacter has been frequently cloned from desert soils, where these organism may be abundant.(more info)
Deinococcus geothermalis (more info) :This website contains information about the radiation resistant microbe Deinococcus geothermalis.(more info)
