Involvement with InTeGrate

I participated in the 2016 Sustainability Field Conference. I had several reasons, the main one was to learn more about the sustainability efforts on campus and in the community in the hopes that I could integrate what I was trying to do on campus related to a TNR (trap/neuter-release) program with the larger goals of creation care, stewardship and sustainability. To this end, and also just because I am fairly new to Shippensburg University, I wanted to meet new people and make connections. I don't do active academic research per se, nor do I teach courses, but I did learn a lot about community efforts in recycling, waste management and sustainability that have helped me personally and I made a few contacts that will help in my efforts related to TNR.
