Tuesday Afternoon Options
Plenary Session
Tuesday's plenary speaker is Karletta Chief, Assistant Professor and Extension Specialist, Department of Soil, Water, and Environmental Sciences, University of Arizona, Tucson. The session Training STEM graduate students to work in Indigenous Communities to co-solve FEWS challenges will be held at 12:00-1:00pm PT / 1:00-2:00pm MT / 2:00-3:00pm CT / 3:00-4:00pm ET. This session is sponsored by the NAGT Teacher Education Division (TED). Reminder that as with the contributed program, all participants are welcome to attend the plenary sessions, regardless of the number or which days they have registered for. Round Table Discussions
Tuesday's Round table discussions are designed as informal, small group discussions around a particular topic, moderated by a colleague with experience and expertise in the topic. Topics include: Implicit Bias, Place-Based Teaching, Handling Grad School Stress, Gaining Teaching Experience beyond the Lab for Grad Students and Post-docs, Active Learning in Large Classes, and Time Management & Setting Boundaries. All roundtables run concurrently and are organized to run 45 minutes with a 15 minute break in the middle as an opportunity to switch sessions, unless otherwise noted. Round table discussions will be held at 1:30-3:15pm PT / 2:30-4:15pm MT / 3:30-5:15pm CT / 4:30-6:15pm ET. Connection information can be found on the corresponding web page.

Share your ideas for the 2021 program! The committee will review all suggestions and work to create a balanced program that serves diverse audiences. We ask that suggestions be made by October 1, 2020 for consideration for the 2021 program.
