Participant Checklist

I'm bumping the following information to the top of your email for quick access and including a checklist for the workshop as we prepare to meet in person this Sunday.

Shuttle Information

For those of you using the Total Transportation shuttle, please follow the directions below to locate the shuttle pick-up area:

  1. Upon arriving at baggage claim, take the escalator or elevator down one level to the T level.
  2. Follow the signage to the TRAM / Silver Ramp / Car Rentals.
  3. Board the tram, which makes only one stop.
  4. Once you disembark from the tram, take the far escalator up to the SILVER lot.
  5. At the top of the escalators, turn to your right and exit through the sliding doors.

The shuttle driver will be parked in one of the bus slips in the oversized parking area.

Shuttle pick-up times are as follows:

  • Saturday, October 26: 6:30 PM
  • Sunday, October 27: 11:30 AM and 2:30 PM

If you need assistance at any time please call Total Transportation at 800-387-5668 or 651-770-5668. They are available 24/7

Ahead of the upcoming workshop, go through this list to make sure you're prepared.

1) Complete the Pre-Work

2) Submit your Teaching Activity (if you haven't already) and take a look at other submissions ahead of the workshop.

You'll have time and lots of feedback and support to work on your teaching activity during the workshop. Even if you have not submitted an activity to be peer-reviewed ahead of the workshop, it is still beneficial to submit the first version of your activity so you'll have a good place to start in the workshop. These activities become publicly available resources for fellow educators, searchable on the SERC site.

Submit your Teaching Activity and View Submissions

3) Optional Sunday afternoon One-on-One sign-up

If you plan to arrive early on Sunday, you can sign up for a session between 2 and 4pm with a mentor in teaching computation.  This is an informal and optional session that can be used to work on your teaching activity.  You are also welcome to drop in to meet with any available mentors.

4) Keep us informed of any changes to travel and reach out with questions

If you are utilizing the shuttle service, the driver will be expecting you at your scheduled arrival. If your plans change, please contact Total Transportation to inform them. Although they monitor flight arrivals, please note that shuttles will depart on time, regardless of any flight delays.

If you miss your scheduled shuttle, you'll need to arrange alternative transportation (Uber or taxi). Total Transportation is available 24/7 at 800-387-5668 or 651-770-5668.

If you have any questions about workshop preparations, logistics or updates to your itinerary, please email us.
