During this one-day workshop at GSA, we will provide a platform to shed light on the challenges experienced by many geoscientists, with a specific focus on mental health. Through engaging discussions and interactive sessions, we will explore the common signs that indicate when geoscientists are struggling with their mental health. We will also showcase best practices from universities, companies, and colleagues who have taken proactive measures to create a safe and supportive working environment. Join us in this workshop to collectively assess how mental health is being addressed in the geosciences and to foster a culture that values mental health and embraces diversity.
