Example Workspace

Workspaces can be used for a variety of activities before, during, and after a workshop. They are powerful collaborative tools that allow for recording of discussions and ideas in real-time during a workshop, and with well-scaffolded, clear, and well-timed-out sessions, they can be a vehicle for producing workshop products following a workshop. This Example Workspace contains three examples for common uses of these workspace pages. More on Workspace Utility

Activities

Most activities on SERC-hosted sites are presented in a standard one-page format. This format was expressly designed to encompass the key information that will enable fellow educators successfully implement or build on an activity.

Brain Storming and Discussion

Your project, group, leadership, or community may require a place to share ideas and examples in a central location that allows for real time editing. A workspace is designed to fulfill this need and help organize information to facilitate discussions that can lead to a final publishable deliverable.

Workshops

Workshops will have a number of moving parts and people to organize. A workspace can be used for pre-workshop organizational purposes, recording group work as it happens, and synthesizing sessions.
