- Career Support for Educators 3 matches Focus on supporting educators in their careers. This includes pre-service and in-service professional development for k-12 teachers, support for college educators aimed at different career stages and elements like leadership development.
- Changing Education Systems 8 matches Focus on how to make positive change in education systems. This includes departmental change, institutional change, as well as other systemic change across institutions and disciplines.
- Disciplinary Skills and Habits of Mind 4 matches Focuses on developing students' ability to think and act with disciplinary expertise. This encompasses concepts like systems thinking, quantitative reasoning, field-based learning, spatial and temporal thinking, data visualization and manipulation.

Research on Learning
This site aggregates resources collected and developed for and in response to a 2002 workshop: Bringing Research on Learning to the Geosciences. The website seeks to further the conversations that were begun at the workshop regarding areas where learning scientists and geoscientists have complementary interests and expertise. SERC hosts the workshop materials and those from a range of related events and activities.

InTeGrate is a STEM-Talent Expansion Program facilitating a large, diverse community of practice in learning about teaching and collaborating for a sustainable future. Teacher Preparation
This site examines the role of geoscience departments and faculty in preparing preservice teachers and supporting practicing teachers who teach Earth science at all pre-college levels. It draws from the participants insight and outcomes of a 2003 workshop. SERC hosted the workshop and supported the development of the website synthesis.

Network of STEM Education Centers
NSEC is an organization of campus-based centers and offices that serve as catalysts for educational transformation in STEM. The network allows center leadership, university and college administrators, and state and national policymakers to have a central hub for their communal efforts. SERC works with NSEC to develop a number of resources that can assist STEM Education Centers in their missions and development. The STEM Ed Center Toolkit, Research Action Clusters, Center Profiles, as well as a number of virtual and in person events such as the Transforming Institutions conferences.

IE3: Meaningful evaluation of effective and inclusive teaching (LCC4)
IE3 Learning Community Cluster 4 (LCC4) is working to make substantial, cross-institutional progress toward meaningful evaluation of inclusive teaching by working collaboratively on three important pillars underlying meaningful evaluation of inclusive and effective teaching - Policies, Instructor Development, and Sources of Evidence. SERC provides an organizational backbone and framework for the work of the project in addition to design and facilitation of some project activities.

Supporting STEM in a Liberal Arts Context synthesized the experiences of 11 institutions striving to strengthen the undergraduate experiences in science and mathematics for all of their students. These predominantly undergraduate institutions were selected by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute as 'Capstone Programs' and had extensive experience in strengthening students experiences in STEM programs. SERC provided support for synchronous meetings, gathering expertise, and writing and publishing the suite of program models and institutional examples that resulted from the work of the project.
