After reading the Duschl and Grandy article and reading others’ posts about the article, I think that my view of inquiry has changed so much as expanded. Inquiry can be defined in many ways, and I don’t think any definitions are incorrect; they just focus on a particular aspect of inquiry. Technically, anything that involves questioning is inquiry. A hands-on lab requires students to ask themselves and answer questions, as does the analysis of data.
