The lab tours are open for registration until June 30. Lab tour size is limited based on room and transportation-related capacity, and space is reserved on a first come, first serve basis.

Caltech Seismo Lab Tour

The tour of the Caltech Seismological Laboratory will include the 100 year history of monitoring earthquakes in SoCal and evolution of the seismic network to the present day; earthquake 101 dynamics; earthquake threat in SoCal; public and private partnerships and collaborations; earthquake research projects including ShakeAlert® Earthquake Early Warning; media center; earthquake educational resources for teachers and earthquake preparedness information and resources. USGS collaborations will also be included.

Jet Propulsion Lab (JPL) Tour

Wednesday | 12:15pm-4:00pm | JPL

Take part in this in-person tour of the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory! The 2.5 hour educational group tour generally includes a multimedia presentation that provides an overview of the activities and accomplishments of the JPL, entitled "Journey to the Planets and Beyond." Participants may also visit the von Karman Visitor Center, the Space Flight Operations Facility, and the Spacecraft Assembly Facility. Please note that the tour includes approximately 1 mile of walking, including multiple flights of stairs. Registration is closed.
