UNAVCO has just released A Foundation for Innovation: Grand Challenges in Geodesy (Acrobat (PDF) 9.7MB Jul18 12). The document, which articulates new and emerging research opportunities in geodesy and its interdisciplinary applications, is the work of seventy-six scientists followed by commentary by the community. This report identifies the key areas where additional research is needed to further our understanding of dynamic systems within the solid Earth, atmosphere, cryosphere, and hydrosphere.
