Conditions for Use:
Submitted samples will be analyzed on a contract basis (i.e. lab personnel will do the work)
User Fees:
Currently, due to COVID-19 restrictions, we accept samples for analysis only. Please contact lab manager (Ioannis Baziotis) for current rates.
Instrument Priorities:
Priority for use of the instrument is for funded research, followed by lab visitors, and students.
Remote Use:
Unfortunately remote access is not possible
Sample Preparation:
The samples should be in the form either normal rectangular thin sections, or 1΄΄ epoxy mounts. The surface should be well polished. Since we perform the work on the EPMA, the coating is necessary. Coating can be done
Standard Collections/Lab Blanks:
We have a complete series of Smithsonian standards, along with metals. We can do a series of analytical work for most of the elements. Please ask us.
