Charting the Future of Geological and Environmental Science Undergraduate Programs
At the 2007 annual meeting of the Geological Society of America, Kristen St. John and Steve Hovan convened a session emphasizing the proactive steps undergraduate geoscience programs are taking to define key variables, make pivotable decisions, and construct possible models for charting future successful paths for 2-year and 4-year degree programs. This session was especially timely in light of both internal and external pressures on undergraduate geoscience programs. Several of the presenters at this session agreed to share their presentations here.
