Teaching Geochemistry - This project provides an on-line tutorial of the analytical techniques commonly used to characterize geological materials. The goal is to help novices (such as students or scientists working out of their field) to gain an understanding of mineralogical, petrological and geochemical analytical techniques.Teaching Geomorphology - This site contains a variety of resources for faculty members who teach undergraduate geomorphology. We have provided links to a growing collection of activities and assignments, internet and computer resources, and lots of creative ideas for teaching.
Teaching Geophysics - This series of pages includes classroom activities and visualization collections along with other useful information and resources involving geophysics and plate tectonics.
Teaching Hydrogeology - Here you will find a variety of resources for faculty members who teach undergraduate hydrogeology. We have provided links to a growing collection of activities and assignments, internet and computer resources, useful articles, presentations from the summer 2005 workshop on teaching hydrogeology, working groups and a discussion forum, and lots of creative ideas for teaching hydrogeology.
Teaching Mineralogy - This is a collection of resources for teaching mineralogy at the undergraduate level. These digital teaching materials are designed for faculty to use in designing new courses, enhancing existing courses, or simply looking for new ideas in teaching mineralogy. Students will also find this collection helpful for finding supplemental study materials and for doing research projects in mineralogy.
Teaching Paleontology in the 21st Century - This site is devoted to a variety of resources for faculty members who teach undergraduate paleontology. Diversity in the Geosciences from Integrating Research and Education - This series of sites provide case studies of the impacts of economic geology on native lands. Information about native peoples, their culture, and the environment are provided along with teaching activities to engage students in learning.Earth System Science Resources from Integrating Research and Education - This series of sites provide information, resources, and activities including All Things Cretaceous, Exploring the Yellowstone Geoecosystem, Environmental Health Risk Inventory, and Advances in Paleontology.
Geoscience Instruments, Data and the New Cyberinfrastructure from Integrating Research and Education - This series of sites includes information and resources that utilize computer applications and modeling to engage and aid in students' learning of geoscience. Pages within this series include Geoscience Education in the New Cyberinfrastructure, Teaching Mineralogy with Crystal Structure Databases and Visualization Software, Geochemical Instrumentation and Analysis, and Teaching with GeoPads.
Teaching Phase Equilibria - The purpose of this website is to provide a comprehensive introduction to heterogeneous phase equilibria in the geosciences. To support teaching and learning, this site contains the essential background information needed to understand phase equilibria, links to related resources, examples of worked problems, and teaching activities. This site provides a series of "primers" or tutorials that will enable students and other users to appropriately use modern thermodynamic modeling programs such as ThermoCalc, MELTS, TWQ and PERPLEX.

Integrating Research and Education - This website contains educational modules for use by teachers, students and researchers. These collections offer numerous ways in which digital library technologies can be used to translate exciting new scientific discoveries into effective instructional practice. Examples include Teaching Phase Equilibria, Teaching with the EarthChem database, Exploring the Yellowstone Geoecosystem, and Teaching Mineralogy with Crystal Structure Databases.On the Cutting Edge - The NAGT On the Cutting Edge project helps geoscience faculty stay up-to-date with research and teaching methods through a series of workshops and associated online resources. Pedagogy in Action - This SERC project contains over 40 modules built around pedagogic approaches, plus hundreds of example activities.
