Earth Exploration Toolbook
Earth Exploration Toolbook (EET) is a collection of online Earth system science activities. Each activity, or chapter, introduces one or more scientific data sets and analysis tools that enables students to explore some aspect of the Earth system. SERC collaborated on the development of the toolset and curricular structure for this project and host its website.

Starting Point: Teaching and Learning Economics
The Starting Point: Econ project introduces economists to innovative teaching strategies, provides instructors with the tools to begin integrating and assessing these teaching strategies, and promotes the sharing of teaching innovations among instructors. SERC hosts and supports the project website.

Project EDDIE
Project EDDIE develops flexible, stand-alone, and modular classroom activities for undergraduate students using long-term and high-frequency datasets to explore the core scientific concepts and develop quantitative literacy. Throughout the lifetime of the project, the SERC team has taken on a number of roles such as initially providing expertise on modular activity development and website development and student assessment.

Compass
The project's primary goal is to enhance access to high-quality Earth education resources by understanding how educators use SERC's materials, improving SERC's infrastructure and organization for easier access, and expanding discoverable resources through partnerships. SERC leads this project using community input to guide the improvements to SERC discovery infrastructure.

EarthLabs
EarthLabs provides a national model for engaging k-12 Earth and environmental science labs. Multiple units illustrate sequences for learning science concepts through data analysis activities and hands-on experiments. SERC designed the website structure that supports both students and instructors and hosts this heavily used set of materials.

Expanding HBCU Pathways for Geoscience Education
The GP-IMPACT: Expanding HBCU Pathways for Geoscience Education aims to identify the challenges and opportunities related to improving minority access to the geosciences across educational levels and specifically at HBCUs. SERC supported the completion of the qualitative study of geoscience efforts at participating HBCUs and developing and hosting the website which holds the results.

TIDeS
The Teaching with Investigation and Design in Science (TIDeS) project is supporting faculty to develop and implement curricular materials for introductory undergraduate science courses that focus on science investigation and engineering design. The aim of the project is to prepare future teachers by exposing them to discourse-filled, context-rich, inclusive classrooms on the premise that teachers should learn science the way they are expected to teach it. SERC is involved both through support of the rubric-driven curriculum development process as well as a multi-faceted evaluation making use of qualitative and quantitative methods to assess project objectives.

Geo-Needs
Geo-Needs was an NSF-funded project that sought to explore barriers and opportunities for enhancing geoscience instruction at 2YC and MSI institutions so that these student have greater opportunities for employment in the geosciences. SERC hosts the project website, including the final report, as well as facilitated the workshops that informed the project and report.

Teach the Earth
Teach the Earth is a portal to a broad range of Earth education materials. Originally developed by SERC as a central access point to the materials of its hosted projects, it is now operated in coordination with the National Association of Geoscience Teachers and serves as a locus of sharing across the Earth education community.
