GETSI
The GETSI teaching materials feature geodetic data and quantitative skills applied to societally important issues (climate change, natural hazards, water resources, environmental management) for introductory and majors-level courses. SERC's role includes website hosting, collaborating on website and professional development design, student assessment, and program evaluation.

National Association of Geoscience Teachers
The National Association of Geoscience Teachers is a community of educators and education researchers working together to improve teaching and learning about Earth. SERC operates the Executive Office of the organization, supports NAGT programming, and hosts the NAGT website.

Mars for Earthlings
This project offered teaching materials such as learning modules and interviews with scientists that promote undergraduate students' study of Mars, including remote sensing data and Earth-based analogs. These collections of teaching materials are hosted by the SERC site.

BASICS
The Business And Science: Integrated Curriculum for Sustainability (BASICS) team developed and pilot-tested transdisciplinary curricular modules and discipline-specific activities for undergraduate students that combine STEM, business, and other fields of knowledge, with a focus on the wicked problems of sustainability in a global economy. SERC leads the work on student assessment that measures student learning and attitudinal changes related to the BASICS curriculum and leads the work on disseminating the curriculum via the website.

Pedagogy in Action
This pedagogic service capitalizes on the successful model of the Starting Point: Teaching Entry-Level Geosciences portal by allowing institutions and digital libraries partners to integrate information about effective pedagogy into their websites. Learn about the what, why, and how to implement more than 30 effective pedagogies, each of which is paired with a collection of ready-to-use activities. SERC has partnered with collaborators across disciplines to create a multi-disciplinary collection.

Network of STEM Education Centers
NSEC is an organization of campus-based centers and offices that serve as catalysts for educational transformation in STEM. The network allows center leadership, university and college administrators, and state and national policymakers to have a central hub for their communal efforts. SERC works with NSEC to develop a number of resources that can assist STEM Education Centers in their missions and development. The STEM Ed Center Toolkit, Research Action Clusters, Center Profiles, as well as a number of virtual and in person events such as the Transforming Institutions conferences.

Disciplinary Engagement with 2YCs
This project held two years of multi-day virtual workshops that facilitated expanded engagement between 2YCs and 11 disciplinary societies. Disciplinary teams produced action plans. Each set of workshops produced an online report. SERC developed the website and served as part of the 2023 leadership team.

Teaching Computation in the Sciences Using MATLAB
Teaching Computation in the Sciences Using MATLAB is a collaboration between MathWorks and SERC to provide resources to help educators incorporate computation into their classrooms and engage with a community of educators interested in improving the teaching of computational skills.

Nanotechnology in STEM
Through the NNCI, the Nanotechnology in STEM website is hosted on SERC in order to help alleviate the lack of nanotechnology resources in both smaller academic institutions, as well as in the small to medium size commercial sector. SERC has supported this project by providing workshop development and implementation expertise and assessing the ways in which the website meets stakeholders' needs and expectations, the extent to which the project outcomes are being realized.

AK UNiTE
By providing researchers and professionals with learning opportunities related to mentorship, AK UNiTE aims to expand the ability of Alaskan students, particularly historically marginalized groups, to participate in biological research in Alaska. Connecting students from diverse backgrounds to place-based research with culturally responsive mentors is one method to increase retention in the biological sciences. SERC provides web hosting for the project and also helps design and facilitate some of the professional development that project participants receive.
