Traveling Workshops

Beginning in 2020, IINSPIRE is partnering with the Science Education Resource Center (SERC) to bring professional development workshops directly to Alliance campuses. These full-day workshops will consist of 1 or 2 sessions adapted from sessions this collaboration has presented previously at the Alliance annual meeting on several high-interest topics. Potential topics include:
- Just-in-Time Math in the Science Classroom (Example Program)
- Using Societal Issues to Attract and Engage STEM Students (Resource Page; Example Program)
- Using Community-built, Online Resources to Support Professional and Institutional Development
- Building Capacity on Your Campus (Example Program)
- Supporting the Whole Student (Resource Page; Example Program)
- Authentic Inquiry in Courses; Research-Like Experiences Embedded in Courses (Resource Page; Example Program)
- Building a Sense of Community for Student Success (Resource Page; Example Program)
- Bridge Programs to Support Student Success (Resource Page; Example Program)
