  • Understand extent to which intended learning occurred based on assessment results and team experience
  • Develop a plan for revising the module
  • Understand what it means to complete and publish a module and the process for acceptance
  • Develop a completion plan, timeline, communication plan, and checklist of what needs to be done

Arrive in Northfield in the afternoon

5:00 PM Welcome party: Celebrating the Pioneers - David M and Anne- Room 230

5:30 PM Work as group of old teams to plan for after dinner presentations - What advice would you offer to the new teams?

6:30 PM Dinner in 1st floor of Weitz Center with cash-only bar

7:30 PM Meet and greet with new (2013) teams - Anne

  • Team overviews of what worked/what didn't
  • Introduction to tomorrow's "speed dating"

May 22, Wednesday

8:45 AM "Speed dating" activity for new (2013) and continuing (2012) teams - David M

  • Opportunity for new teams to ask any individual questions of continuing team members. 5 rotations at 15 minutes each.

10:30 AM Plenary: What it means to finish (Continuing and New teams)

  • 30 minute presentation - Inspiring relationship to InTeGrate quality and publication goals - David S and Cathy
    • Developing student materials
    • Developing sufficient faculty materials
    • Writing case studies
    • Website publishing
    • Relationship to timeline
  • New teams meet to finalize plans before they leave - Anne and David Mc
  • Old teams get more detail on how to finish - Sean and Ellen

12:00 PM Lunch at the Language/Dining Hall on campus

1:00 PM Work time in teams - Team Leaders

  • Discuss results of pilot testing in different environments
  • Assess needs to finish the module according to guidelines
  • Begin a draft plan for finishing module including student materials (in team pages in the CMS)
  • Schedule times for interviews with Carol
  • Record Video today or Thursday


4:30 PM Plenary report out: What questions do you have about completing your plan? What potential roadblocks do you see?

9:30 AM Assessment consultants meet individually with teams

  • Provide assessment results for individual module - summary of conclusions drawn from assessment data, summary of GLE responses
  • Discuss mapping of assessment data onto learning goals (embedded assessments and GLE)
  • Discuss plans for incorporating assessment and evaluation results into revisions
  • Figure out how we can together demonstrate that learning described in module goals is taking place
  • Revise draft module completion plan (in team pages in the CMS as needed)

11:30 AM Report out: Good news and challenges you see incorporating results of assessment

12:00 PM Lunch at the Language/Dining Hall

1:00 PM Time to work in teams on faculty materials and case studies - Team Leaders

  • Edit faculty materials in CMS as needed
  • Begin work on case studies
  • Revise plan in CMS as necessary
  • Continued interviews with Carol
  • Complete case study videotaping
  • Complete "Checkpoint 5: Revisions Planned" as a group (available on your group reporting page)

Optional afternoon session and undetermined time: Supporting adoption-case studies and top pages.
