Hi All,
I'm planning a climate/precipitation activity for March. I'd like to have my students investigate the flooding that took place in Namibia (April 2004). My lead in activity will be to have students locate numerous deserts throughout the world and draw conclusions as to why they are found at their various locations. They will have to tie in pressure cells, global winds, and geographic features. Once they have a solid foundation, I'd like for they to come up with hypotheses as to why flooding occured in a "desert" region. I've found some flood maps on UNOSAT, but am currently looking for precipitation data for Namibia and Angola. Any suggestions? -Brendan
