Project EDDIE provides funding for the operational costs of the workshop and workshop materials for the participants. See more details in the Workshop Overview

Applications are now being accepted on a rolling bases until the September 8th, 2019 deadline. If you are accepted for the workshop, you will be asked to complete a registration form to provide us with more information.

We encourage you to compose your answers to the longer questions in a word processor and cut and paste the resulting text into this form. This gives you access to conveniences like spell checking as well as the opportunity to save and reflect on your work before submitting.

Project EDDIE aims to engage the community to develop a larger suite of flexible EDDIE teaching modules that pair scientific concepts and quantitative reasoning with teaching with data. Read more about the Materials Development Expectations (opens in new page) before completing the application. We seek proposals that:


1. Develop students' quantitative reasoning (QR) ability to interpret data and to reason with numbers in real-world situations
2. Engage students with large, authentic, publicly available online datasets in biology, geology, ecology, environmental science, or related field
3. Utilize engaging, student-centered teaching pedagogies
4. Contribute new concepts to the existing suite of EDDIE teaching modules
