See you in Philly for #EarthER24
The 2024 Earth Educators' Rendezvous is just a few days away! Find important information about the conference below. We look forward to seeing you in Philadelphia!
Participant Information
The participant information web page includes information on arriving at the Rendezvous, including ground transportation options and registration check-in; during the Rendezvous, including campus maps and evening events; and after the Rendezvous, including information on local attractions and highlights.
Check-In
Registration and Badge Pickup
- Registration is located in the atrium of the Temple University Science Education and Research Center (SERC) building.
- You must check in at the registration table before attending any events, so please allow enough time before your workshop or event begins. This does not apply to the Sunday field trip and the Improving the Sustainability of Data-rich Activities through the Community Contribution Tool workshop.
- Rendezvous attendee badges will be required to enter the SERC building. Rendezvous staff will be available to let you in the first time you enter.
- Did you save your lanyard from last year? If so, reduce waste by bringing it with you and using it again this year!
On-Campus Lodging
Attendees who booked on-campus lodging are staying at Morgan Hall North on the Temple University campus. The front desk hours of operation are Monday-Sunday, 8:00am to 7:00pm. If you are checking in outside these hours, please call 215-316-6529 and the Housing Staff Member on call will assist you. See communications from Amy Collette for more details.
Opening Reception
Join us for the opening reception in the Temple University Science Education and Research Center (SERC) building atrium from 6:30 to 8:00pm on Sunday, July 14! Take this opportunity to meet new colleagues, catch up with old ones, and anticipate a great week of Earth education. There will be a cash bar and hors d'oeuvres will be served.
Exhibitors
We are excited to welcome four fantastic exhibiting organizations to the Rendezvous this year: EarthScope Consortium, Pennsylvania Geological Survey, Science Interactive, and StraboSpot. Visit the exhibitors page to learn more about these organizations, and plan to stop by their tables in the SERC building atrium near registration!

Explore the Program
We hope that you will take some time to look at the official program and plan how to take advantage of all the Rendezvous has to offer. While you are expected to attend the full morning workshop for which you registered, there are many opportunities to customize afternoon programming. Follow a particular theme or mix and match to create your own conference experience - we want your time at the Rendezvous to be as rewarding and productive as possible! While you can freely move between contributed oral sessions, if you plan to attend an afternoon mini-workshop please stay in the workshop for its full duration.
Get Your Rendezvous T-Shirt!
Get your Rendezvous 2024 commemorative t-shirt. This year's design celebrates 10 years of the Earth Educators' Rendezvous! The 10 conferences are arranged as a stratigraphic column, where the "thickness" of each layer is a representation of the number of attendees and the width of each layer is the average daytime high temperature. Elements in the design reflect the fields that make up the Earth Sciences. Check out the Rendezvous shirt and additional EER and NAGT products in the NAGT Store . Get free standard shipping on orders from the NAGT store during the Rendezvous, July 14-29!
Evening Email
Be sure to check your email for our nightly communications during the Rendezvous, which will include last-minute updates and highlights for the upcoming day.
