Dear current and former Earth Educators' Rendezvous participants,

The 2018 Earth Educators' Rendezvous is just days away! Hundreds of educators will gather in Lawrence, KS to learn from one another, share resources, rethink their classroom pedagogy, and reconnect with old friends and colleagues (and hopefully make new ones). If you are unable to join us this year, please keep future Rendezvous in mind: for you and your colleagues! For those attending this year, if this is your first Earth Educators' Rendezvous or you are a seasoned Rendezvous veteran, the Rendezvous is a tremendous benefit for everyone that can attend.

NAGT's Donor Development Committee is working hard to make sure the Rendezvous is an event that educators can attend regardless of financial resources. To this end, a group of "Friends of NAGT" has stepped up to initiate a challenge for Rendezvous past and present participants. NAGT is excited to announce that we have received $4000 in pledges for the first ever NAGT Challenge. This Challenge will raise funds for travel stipends to the 2019 Earth Educators' Rendezvous. The only way we can 'unlock' these funds is to raise an additional $4,000 for a dollar-to-dollar match. If we are successful, we will have $8,000 to provide travel stipends for participants to attend the 2019 Rendezvous.

Whether you will be in Lawrence for this year's event or look forward to attending in the future, we hope that you are strongly committed to the goals and efforts of the Earth Educators' Rendezvous. Please consider supporting participation in the Rendezvous with a contribution toward matching the $4000 challenge. All donations, large and small, will add up to help us meet this goal! We will be keeping track on progress throughout this year's event on the 2018 Rendezvous front page.

Help us get the ball rolling and unlock the Challenge by donating today through your NAGT Membership account and selecting the Professional Development Fund.

Thank you,
NAGT Donor Development Committee
