INTRODUCTION: I am a member of the Environmental Science faculty at the University of Washington Tacoma. I teach a variety of courses which all include some aspect of climate change. Courses I teach include astrobiology, astronomy, energy and the envrionment, estuarien field studies, geography of the physical environment, historical geology, meteorology, natural disasters and geologic hazards, oceanography, physical geology, pollution and public policy, pollution and the atmosphere, and much more. I address hurricanes in a handful of these courses, which affords me a connection to this workshop.

I was hoping to explore the vertical change in temperature due to climate change and the affect on hurricane development.
