Geophotography
A picture is more than just a thousand words. Photos can be used for a wide range of applications such as to interpret a geologic history, explore the mineralogical composition of a specimen, or to investigate processes that occur over time, such as the retreat of a glacier or the formation of a dune, and much more. The resources below provide guidance on effectively using photography in your geoscience classroom in a variety of settings.

This event has already taken place
This webinar series explored using photography to teach geoscience. Virtual presentations were held once a week from February to March, 2013. This workshop was convened to help geoscientists improve their photographic skills to enhance the creation and use of geo-imagery in research and instructional practices.
