Students interested on working on environmental contamination or conservation of terrestrial and marine resources apply to this program. Sometimes counselors help students to clarify basic questions about differences among general biology and environmental sciences bachelors according to future interests.
Strengths of this program
Students have access to research labs including:
- Environmental management Modeling lab
- Renovable Energy Lab
- Insect Molecular Ecology lab
- Center for the Conservation of Manatees (Trichechus manatus) in Puerto Rico.
- Research Field Station "Mata de Platano" working on the ecology of the karstic moist forest.
