Academic Career Profile Form

Each year we ask leaders of the workshop on Preparing for an Academic Career in the Geosciences to describe their own careers for the benefit of workshop participants.

Participants in the workshop are graduate students and postdocs who are not necessarily familiar with the variety of positions at different kinds of academic institutions. They are also quite curious about the expectations for teaching, research, and service at different types of institutions. Please answer the following questions with that audience in mind.

This is generally only useful when uploading file of a type not recognized by the system (not in the list of file types above). In that situation choose File Type: Unknown Binary and include the appropriate suffix in the file name here. e.g. myfile.m3z Avoid spaces or special characters in the file names.
