Workshop: Earth Education for Sustainable Societies


Dear Colleagues,

How can we design the future of Earth Education for sustainable societies? We need your input! Please join us for an exciting opportunity, Earth Education for Sustainable Societies (EESS) workshop, which will be held at Carleton College in Northfield, MN from October 14 through 16. Apply by August 5.

This workshop will bring together a diverse group of 70+ participants to articulate high-priority needs for strengthening Earth education for sustainability and generate actionable new ideas to address those needs. We welcome applications from individuals with interests in sustainability education, including post-secondary and K12 faculty, informal educators, researchers, and more to contribute to dynamic discussions about the future of Earth education.

This workshop also provides special opportunities to:

  • Build a community of individuals who are interested in improving Earth education for sustainability in new and exciting ways
  • Work together to articulate high-priority needs in smaller groups to develop actionable ideas

Costs: There is no registration cost for attending this workshop. Double-occupancy hotel accommodations and meals will be provided during the workshop, as will round-trip ground transportation from Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport (MSP). Additional travel reimbursement, up to $500, is also available to help offset participant transportation to the workshop.

The application deadline for this workshop is August 5, 2019.
