Spatial Thinking Workbook
The Spatial Thinking Workbook project is focused on improving spatial skills in upper-division undergraduate geoscience courses. SERC was involved in the leadership of this project and the development of its teaching activities and spatial learning assessments.

Using Data in the Classroom
This site provides information and discussion for educators and resource developers interested in effective teaching methods and pedagogical approaches for using data in the classroom. SERC developed this site drawing from a series of workshops and sessions in 2002 and 2003.

Humanities Education for Anti-Racism Literacy
The Humanities Education for Anti-Racism Literacy in the Sciences and Medicine (HEAL) project seeks to provide models and examples of transformative higher education to advance anti-racist practices and pedagogies in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and medicine. SERC hosts the project website and assists with product dissemination.

ACM Pedagogic Resources
The Faculty Career Enhancement Program (FaCE) awards funding to ACM faculty that enable them to engage in collaborative projects that explore ways to strengthen liberal arts education in a variety of ways. Project collaborators are then able to desseminate and share their results widely with colleagues across the ACM and beyond. (adpated from https://acm.edu/faculty/research-innovation/face-faculty-career-enhancement-program/)The SERC evalutaion team is conducting a retrospective evaluation using a mixed-methods approach involving participant interviews, surveys, and artifact analysis to understand the FaCE program's influence and impact.

Sustainability Improves Student Learning (SISL) was an collaboration between academic association and professional societies that strived to improve teaching and preparation of undergraduates to address real-world sustainability challenges. SERC provided support for the development of the website.

Teacher Preparation
This site examines the role of geoscience departments and faculty in preparing preservice teachers and supporting practicing teachers who teach Earth science at all pre-college levels. It draws from the participants insight and outcomes of a 2003 workshop. SERC hosted the workshop and supported the development of the website synthesis.

CLEAN
The CLEAN Pathway provides a reviewed collection of classroom materials for teaching climate literacy and energy awareness for students in grades 6-16. Hallmarks of the project include the collection of educational materials, a set of pedagogic strategies for teaching these topics, and an ongoing series of professional development events for teachers and faculty. SERC provides the web platform for CLEAN as well as the tools utilized for review.

IGUaNA
The goal of the IGUaNA project is to attract a diverse population of students to geophysics through the development of teaching materials that highlight the application of geophysical tools and methods to societally-relevant questions, including environmental, engineering, and forensic questions in urban settings. SERC provided the PIs with website hosting, formative and summative evaluation, and workshop design and facilitation expertise.

Using the Neotoma Database in the Classroom
The goal of the Neotoma project was to leverage the Neotoma Paleoecology Database in the classroom to teach biotic response to climate change. SERC hosts teaching modules and related teaching activities.

Starting Point: Teaching and Learning Economics
The Starting Point: Econ project introduces economists to innovative teaching strategies, provides instructors with the tools to begin integrating and assessing these teaching strategies, and promotes the sharing of teaching innovations among instructors. SERC hosts and supports the project website.
