- Nano4Earth-- the Climate Change National Nanotechology Challenge. "Enduring climate change solutions will require multi-faceted approaches that increase understanding of the science, advance useful technologies, and help society prepare for predicted climate change impacts. The breadth and versatility of nanotechnology enables a unique opportunity to combat climate change on all fronts. Nano4EARTH recognizes the role nanotechnology will and already plays in:Evaluating, monitoring, and detecting climate change status and trends; Averting future greenhouse gas emissions; Removing existing greenhouse gases; Training and educating a highly skilled workforce to harness nanotechnology solutions; and developing Higher resilience to—and mitigation of—climate change-induced pressures for improved societal/economic resilience." Nano4Earth resources include:
- Nano4 Earth Kickoff Workshop-- This workshop was held in January 2023 "to energize a wide-ranging community and build a foundation for the Nano4EARTH challenge. More than 400 people across sectors, with diverse expertise and perspectives, participated in the event. Discussions focused on identifying nanotechnologies that are poised to have an impact on climate change in four years or less, in addition to sharing resources available to address barriers to entrepreneurship and technology adoption. Goals and metrics to maintain momentum throughout the challenge were also identified. New connections and networks spanning federal agencies, non-federal organizations, and industry were created and several examples of collaborations and events centered on nanotechnology and climate change developed organically between participants."
- Round table Discussion Forums -- "The Nano4EARTH roundtable discussions aim to identify fundamental knowledge gaps, needs, and opportunities to advance current energy efficiency, sustainable development, and climate change goals. By convening stakeholders from different sectors, backgrounds, and expertise, the goals of these roundtables are to identify applicable lessons across the spectrum of technologies, discuss system-specific needs, scalability and commercialization challenges, and potential paths forward."

- National Nanotechnology Day "National Nanotechnology Day is an annual event featuring community-led events and activities on or around October 9 to help raise awareness of nanotechnology, its use in products that enrich our daily lives, and the challenges and opportunities for the future. This date, 10/9, pays homage to the nanometer scale, 10 –9 meters."
- For Teachers: NanoEducators Quarterly Forum--"Join other K–12 science teachers for short informational talks, discussions, and informal resource sharing. These virtual events are held throughout the year in January, April, September, and November. "

- EnvisioNano "is a contest for undergraduate and graduate students conducting nanotechnology research in the United States and U.S. territories. Students should submit striking nanoscale images that demonstrate how beautiful the nanoscale can be alongside thoughtful, concise descriptions of the research behind the picture and how it may lead to nanotechnologies that benefit society. The goal is to envision where your research is headed and explain how "seeing" at the nanoscale is important to reaching that vision. See the most recent winning image here!"
- NanoFilm "is a video contest for undergraduate and graduate students that are conducting nanotechnology research in the United States and U.S. territories. Participating students should submit short videos that tell a general audience about nanotechnology. How do you hope your work will help the world? What's the greatest promise in nanotechnology? Where do you hope nanotechnology will make the greatest impact? What do you think is cool about nanotechnology? Be creative!"
