New Publication: Interdisciplinary Teaching About Earth and the Environment for a Sustainable Future

published May 14, 2019 3:00pm
A new book, Interdisciplinary Teaching About Earth and the Environment for a Sustainable Future, presents the outcomes of the InTeGrate project, a community effort funded by the National Science Foundation to improve Earth literacy, and build a workforce prepared to tackle environmental and resource issues. Written by the community, for the community, the authors comprise a diverse team of peer Educators across the country. The book describes InTeGrate's instructor-developed curricula, which reaches a wide audience, sustainability and program level courses, and provides a framework for creating curricula, including rich examples of specific large program use, as well as tools for implementing multi-scale approaches to educational change. The text is appropriate for a vast audience, from individual faculty to leaders of institutional programs. InTegrate's interdisciplinary curricular materials classroom-tested, rigorously reviewed, and freely available online. Explore the InTeGrate collection now.
